Quick and Easy French Toast

I love french toast but I don't particularly like having to keep an eye on it and flip it while it is on the stove. Which is why I love the following recipe so much...it's baked in the oven!

Orange - Cinnamon French Toast

2 to 4 T. butter, melted

2 T. honey

1/2 t. cinnamon

3 eggs

1/2 c. orange juice

1/8 t. salt

6 slices bread

In bowl, combine butter, honey, and cinnamon. Pour into greased 13x9 pan; spread to coat bottom. In bowl, beat eggs, orange juice, and salt. Dip each side of bread into egg mixture and place in pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

Yummy as is, or serve with a bit of maple syrup.

  1. That looks fantastic! I would try it today but it's going to be in the 100's again here and it will kill me to turn on my oven. Seriously going to make this when it cools off though!

  2. oh good I though there was something wrong with me for not liking standing at the frying pan watching things cook..It's hot in our house I know i have mentioned that before. I leave it though and it burns everytime.

  3. Thanks for posting this! I tried it this weekend and for once got my hubby to eat french toast without the massive amounts of syrup. Also, I did not have to watch the frying pan, which I dislike, so Win/Win!
