S.O.S Update

One week into my S.O.S Challenge (Sick of Stuff) and I'm meeting and exceeding my goal (get rid of five items a day)!
I took 30 books to the library for their book sale.

I have a box in the back of my vehicle to donate. While I didn't count each item, it is stuffed full of books, toys, and clothes so I'm going to guess that there is at least 20 items in there.

I also threw several items away that I can no longer use, at least 5 things.

So that is a total of around 55 things out of the house this week! Well above my 35 item goal. I've already got another box started for donation, and a bag ready for the consignment shop. We shall see how I do this week. :)

  2. I'm with you Elizabeth! In spite of having 2 large yard sales and purging, I still am surrounded by stuff! I threw away 2 pairs of shorts and 4 t shirts that I was saving for painting clothing. I figure I can just turn a T shirt inside out for that purpose. Now onto the junk drawer!

    1. What's weird is when I have garage sales I am so proud of myself - boxes and boxes of items sold, large items purged from the house. And then I look around the house after the sale is all over and think "I hardly notice anything gone!" lol

I'm scared of my junk drawer(s).

  3. Great job! I cleaned out the toy room this week and got rid of two big garbage bags full of stuff, plus a few smaller Wal-Mart sacks. I have another garbage bag going that's about 1/4 full right now, and I didn't even have to try to get that stuff. I'm actually looking forward to cleaning out closets.
