In celebration of this blog's 5 week anniversary on Sunday I am hosting a giveaway! Just leave a comment below telling me one of your favorite things and you will be entered to win everything pictured below, which are some of my favorite things. It includes: One issue of MaryJane's Farm Magazine, one box of LANG notecards, two bars of handcrafted soap (not by me, I'm not that crafty!), and one tube of Burt's Bees lip balm. Only one entry per person, please, and the deadline is noon on Sunday (the 4th). Winner will be drawn by my daughter, who happens to turn 6 years old on the same day.
Oh, this is fun... My favourite thing.... well, I suppose she's not a thing but it could be my little baby-dog Sophie.... lol...

My favorite thing is books :) I am a reader. For any gift giving occasion, I always ask for books, and it apparently irritates my husband, he asked me the other day what I wanted for Christmas other than books. I answered "more books" and he growled at me :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things is my clothesline! :) It never feels like a chore when I'm out hanging laundry in the fresh breeze.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your blog anniversary, Beth! Happy bday to your daugher too! Favorite thing, without a doubt, is the written word....be it in a book, a hand-written letter. All the best to you! jacki
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing...hmm..it has to be my worn out fully loved slightly aged comforter. When Hubby and I got married we got this beautiful comforter for our bed. It has had a good full life, but I am not ready to surrender it yet. It kept snoozing babies napping during those late night rocking chair sessions, sick toddlers comforted when they had the seasonal ickies, and of course soaked in the memories of sleepovers, movie nights, and picnics in the yard. Yep! My comforter/blanket has to be my favorite thing.:)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 5 week anniversary! You are doing better than me that's for sure. I can't seem to keep up with anything I blog..hehe
Happy Birthday to your girlie! :D Wow! 6!!!

my yellow lasagna pan I received 32 years ago at my bridal shower from my aunts father in law POP, I use that all the time for meatloaves, roasting chickens, lasagna, brownies, and many other things. Also my flour and sugar scoops from my aunt pearlie who is now 86. Pop was in his mid 90's at the time and passed away shortly after that in 1977. I think about each of them when I use them, great memories.

This one is easy. My favorite things are books, magazines and paper of all types. I absolutely love a good magazine and am drawn to lovely paper and decorated notebooks. I have a neatly organized drawer-file next to my desk full of stationery, notebooks, journals, and decorated printer paper, along with the standard white envelopes and copy paper.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing is my first brag book! I got to visit my daughter and her family in Washington this past June, the whole month all the way from Georgia. I got reacquainted with my first granddaughter who is now two and I met her baby sister, only a month old then. I had a glorious time with "my Lil Angels" and was sad to go back home when the time came. I took pictures of them for the whole month of June. Once upon getting home, I went to work and put together a cute scrapbook and titled it "Nana's June 2009 Vacation". I will always treasure that book and I miss my Angels dearly!
ReplyDeleteThank you for allowing me to share my favorite thing!
Hi ELizabeth,
ReplyDeleteI would have to say that one of my favorite things is the feeling I get when I hear two little voices calling to me saying "Mimi are you here?" When my grandchildren come over.
Happy birthday to your dd!! Six, boy doesn't time fly?
