I'm an on again off again cloth diaper-er. I don't use them in the winter as I don't like to dry them in the dryer. Once the weather starts to warm is when my babies sport the fluffy cloth bums! We don't use them at night typically and when away for the day we use disposables. I have a large basket of diapers that I've picked up on sale as well as at garage sales. Many dating back to when Jacob was a baby (9 years ago!) so it shows you how long they can last. I'll almost be sad when sweet Amy potty trains!

Really nice colors. Can you explain to me how these work because I don't quite get it. Do you put some kind of liner inside them or what?
ReplyDeleteThese are pocket diapers. So there is a thick liner (similar to a pad) and slips into the back of the diaper. You can use two liners if you have a heavy wetter or for nighttime. Then there are snaps on the front. So really, once it's all assembled (which I do as I take it down from the clothesline) it goes on just like a disposable!
DeleteI had cloth diapers for our two, but that was 30 years ago, so disposable's were just coming into the stores and they were expensive back then.
ReplyDeleteAnd cloth involved pins and plastic pants! A lot has changed...cloth diapering can be fun now!
