The Chopped Cookbook

I notice a theme with the books I have been choosing lately: cookbooks! Everyone in my household can tell you that I've hit a "food block" and nothing good or exciting has been coming out of the kitchen.

Which is why I was thrilled with the idea of The Chopped Cookbook by Food Network. It's about using what you have to cook something great. My leftovers are never great but this cookbook turns simple items into WOW meals.

The pictures are amazing, the majority of the recipes actually seem possible, and I'm excited to try several out. I also enjoy how there is a complete chapter detailing several vegetables with ways to jazz them up.

Jacob was a huge fan of the Chopped television show and while the recipes in this cookbook aren't so random as the ones on the show, this is an excellent book for using up what you have on hand and making a creative meal.

Disclaimer: I received this book from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.
